The event creator says
Dear friends,
I've finished a new record. It is called "Souvenirs". I recorded it in Brooklyn and at the College of St. Rose in Albany with Sam Miller this summer. Jackie Paolella mixed it in Norfolk, VA in the fall. Adam Boose mastered it in Cleveland, OH in the winter. Now it is finished, and will be coming out in the fall.

I wanted to create an opportunity to listen to it, all the way through, in a room filled with other listeners. These days, when you put an album out into the world, your job is done - you made it the way that made the most sense to you at the time, and folks put it in their headphones, through their car speakers, on their record players. It becomes background music behind dinners, parties, baths, naps, and road trips. Before all of that happens, though, and while I'm still excited about it, I wanted to create a little bit of space to just sit in a room with some friends and some drinks and just *sit and listen to music*, which is a rarety most of us don't have time for and don't make time for.

(It's only about 35 minutes long and after that talking to each other is strongly encouraged.)

I've been traveling a lot for the last year and am excited to share these songs with you.

(PS: Sam Miller, the guy who made the record with me, is also going to be in town for this event and we are playing a "secret show"at Ink Knife on Sunday, April 9th.)
