Synthesis Dance Gospel & Blues Train says
On 7th May 1964 a vintage
steam locomotive pulled
into an elaborately decorated station
named ‘Chorltonville’ near Manchester UK.

The station was decked out
to look like a Southern United States
Depression era train platform.

On board were a flock of young,
English blues fans
on their way to hear live performances
by Muddy Waters, Sister Rosetta Tharpe,
Cousin Joe Pleasants, Sonny Terry,
and Brownie McGhee.

It was an English late spring evening
with a little Thunder
a little rain
Lord's music & Devil's music,
and just enough room
where
heart meets soul..

All aboard...
