Talk Of The Town Underground 2015

After a wildly successful first outing last year, UNDERGROUND returns as Talk of the Town’s “12th party.” The evening begins with wine and hors d’oeuvres in our lobby, followed by a 6pm program in the Great Hall. Afterwards, you’ll head to our downstairs space to mix and mingle with local luminaries including Ali el-Gasseir, playwright/actor/Co-Artistic Director of Washington Arts Ensemble Theatre; Michael O’Neal, Jr. with Au Collective; film and television actor Yuji Okumoto (Inception, NCIS, The Mentalist); artist and Stranger Genius Award-winner C. Davida Ingram; former Town Hall Scholar in Residence and radio personality Steve Scher; former Town Hall Artist in Residence Tomo Nakayama (multi-talented local musician, formerly of the band Grand Hallway); and Otieno Terry, winner of EMP’s Sound Off! DJDaps1 and the Seattle Seahawks’ DJ DV One will run the dance floor, while Food and Sh*t’s Chef Geo (Blue Scholars, and another former Town Hall Scholar in Residence) and Chera Amlag, of Hood Famous Bake Shop, will provide a festive menu. Sound Spirits, Schilling Cider, and Georgetown Brewing Company complete this celebration of our region’s arts, culture, and culinary scenes.
