The Green Dolphin Lounge Presents: Swamp Soul
Advertising
Time Out says
Swamp Soul performs a mix of Cajun, Creole, and Zydeco dance music, mostly sung in Cajun French. Accordion, fiddle, rub-board/triangle, guitars, and drum along with our voices re-create the music of southwest Louisiana.
On the third Friday of the month, the center is transformed into a performance space, with noted local artists, good food and a no-host bar.
The Green Dolphin Lounge is named after “On Green Dolphin Street,” the main theme of the 1947 MGM film Green Dolphin Street. The movie was based on British novelist Elizabeth Goudge’s 1944 book Green Dolphin Country, published that same year in the United States as Green Dolphin Street.
Tickets are only $20 ($15 for Center Lifetime members)
