Join us on Friday, December 4th for the next installment in our new social series, Cocktails & Conversation: Midcentury Modern Design Mixer.

This entertaining evening will feature a series of short talks by local experts on different aspects of midcentury modern art and design. Speakers and topics include:

- The Impact of Color in Midcentury Modern Interiors
Cheryl Wassenaar, Associate Professor, Sam Fox School of Art and Design, Washington University in St. Louis

- The Taste for Scandinavian Design in Midcentury America
Maggie Taft, Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Modeling Interdisciplinary Inquiry, Washington University in St. Louis

- The Influence of Modern Art on Midcentury Design
Bradley Bailey, Associate Professor of Art History, Saint Louis University

The cash bar opens in the Museum's Education Center at 6:30 pm so arrive early to mix and mingle while you sip on classic cocktails. The program will begin at 7:30pm.

Tickets are $15 ($10 for SLAM Members) and required for entry. Purchase tickets in person at the Museum’s Information Centers, through MetroTix at www.metrotix.com,or by calling 314.534.1111. All tickets purchased through MetroTix incur a service charge. Advance tickets are recommended for this event.
