Each one-hour class includes discussion, activities and a video from Dr. Neal Barnard (no cooking demo takes place). This course is based on the Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine’s successful 21-Day Vegan Kickstart program. This course can help with losing weight, maintaining a healthy weight, or simply embracing an overall healthful way of eating. The ideas is to choose the right foods for losing weight and staying healthy, rather than restricting amounts of foods. Attendees will discover the world of health through general topics ranging from digestion to blood pressure.

Week 1: Kickstart Your Health: Weight Control and Diabetes Prevention focus. Students will leave using the next seven days for preparation.

Week 2: Let's Go! Begin a 21-Day Vegan Kickstart

Week 3: Getting in Gear: Hunger & Detoxification will be addressed. We will be tasting nondairy milks.

Week 4: Weight Control. Focus on how plant based eating patterns help with weight loss or maintenance.

Each one-hour class features a video from Dr. Neal Barnard, and a group discussion. (no cooking or food demo takes place during class).
