"Laugh My Weary Blues Away" is the debut album of the Sidney Street Shakers on Big Muddy Records. It celebrates the original music of St Louis from the 1920's, with all composers having spent an influential portion of their careers in the city. Recorded in winter 2016 at Native Sound Studios, this 15 song album captures the many facets of music being played and recorded in St Louis nearly 100 years ago and celebrates the city's important and often overlooked contributions to early jazz. "Laugh My Weary Blues Away" features extensive liner notes and artwork by Kevin Belford, award winning author of "Devil at the Confluence".

Founded in 2013, the Sidney Street Shakers are an 8 piece traditional jazz band who share members with touring acts such as Pokey Lafarge and The Hooten Hallers, and many members are regarded for their work in St Louis based groups, such as The Gaslight Squares, Loot Rock Gang, Rum Drum Ramblers, Coco Rico, and others. They perform exciting renditions from the cannon of 1920's and 1930's jazz classics, but focus primarily on the music of St Louis and performing their own original tunes. The band is comprised of TJ Muller (trumpet), Chloe Feoranzo (clarinet, c melody sax), Kellie Everett (bass sax, tenor sax, band leader), Jacob Alspach (trombone, tenor banjo), Joe Park (guitar, plectrum banjo), Mary Ann Schulte (piano), Ryan Koenig (washboard, percussion), and Matt Meyer (drums), and the album features guests performances by Mike Davis (cornet), Kyle Butz (trombone), and Joey Glynn (bass).
