All-inclusive skiing has officially arrived in Sweden

Think the same hassle-free dinner buffets and ice cream for the kids, only with sub-zero temperatures and no parasols or jugs of sangria. But that après-ski beer? You’ll have to pay for that yourself.

SkiStar is trialling the new concept at its resort in Sälen. Starting this winter, guests staying at SkiStar Lodge Lindvallen will be able to add an all-inclusive package to their booking, which includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee breaks, ice cream and non-alcoholic drinks throughout their stay.

According to a press release from SkiStar, the company is testing the concept in response to growing demand for convenience and hassle-free holiday options.

And the price? Adults pay from SEK 995 per day, while children over six cost from SEK 695. Children under six go free. For a family of four with two adults and two children spending a week away, the total all-inclusive bill would come to SEK 23,730, equivalent to around €2,157, and that’s without accommodation or lift passes.
