Le Richemond - Dorchester Collection

Built in the late 19th century, Le Richemond is one of the distinguished daddies of Geneva’s hotel scene that justifies its prestigious place on the right bank of Lake Geneva facing the jet d’eau. As you’d expect from a Dorchester Collection hotel, this is premium-class accommodation with classically attentive service. Rooms are spacious and decorated in a smart, contemporary, unfussy manner with rich fabrics, marble bathrooms and classic furniture – Le Richemond isn’t going to win prizes for innovation, but it’s certainly a bastion of comfort and attention to detail.  Head to the basement to indulge in Le Spa’s range of treatments using Sisley products – the wonderfully relaxing facial induces a soporific state – plus sauna, steam room, fitness suite and relaxation area. It’s a shame there’s no pool, but even here you can’t have everything. The hotel also has an acclaimed restaurant serving Mediterranean-cuisine, Le Jardin, plus two bars for cocktails and snacks in a Art Deco-inspired environment.
