Lugano’s ritzy centrepiece, neoclassical Piazza della Riforma plays host to a beautiful outdoor New Year’s Eve party. From 11pm, thousands of people gather on the square to bop away to a soundtrack of recent hits provided by Radio 3i DJs – who have champagne corks ready to pop.
