Time Out says

International musicians perform acoustic hits at the only festival of its kind in Europe.

Zermatt Unplugged isn’t your average music festival. Since 2007, it has invited international musicians – both new talent and established names – to go back to basics and perform their hits acoustically at cosy venues across the mountain resort. The result is a series of intimate concerts showcasing stars as you have never seen them before. Among the venues are the world’s highest altitude festival stage (3,030 metres above sea level at the Gandegghütte) and Sunegga Sessions, which has a backdrop of the Matterhorn and will this year play host to multi-platinum selling British soul singer Gabrielle. Other headliners for 2015 include Anastacia and James Blunt. Tickets for the big name acts sell out early, but there is a range of free concerts by new talent that you can just turn up to. Off the stage, open mic and jamming sessions bring Zermatt to life.
