Time Out says

Don't miss this legendary turntablist in Zurich.

If it feels like A-Trak has been around forever, it's because he pretty much has. The Canadian DJ/producer born Alain Macklovitch first came to prominence way back in 1997 when he became, at the age of 15, the youngest-ever winner of the DMC World DJ Championship. That jumping-off point has led to a career that has seen him further hone his talents as an old-school turntablist at the same time as exploring various avenues of house, hiphop and pop music as a producer. Collaborations have always loomed large in Macklovitch's career, with early membership in turntablism crews Invisibl Skratch Piklz and The Allies followed later by hook-ups with everyone from Armand van Helden (as Duck Sauce, creators of the ubiquitous single “Barbara Streisand”) to Travis Barker, as well as an ongoing creative relationship with Kanye West that has endured for over a decade now.

His latest collaboration saw him work with estimable English soul vocalist Jamie Lidell to produce the summery single “We All Fall Down”. A-Trak's set at Plaza, which is one of several European dates to promote the new single, will find him combining the extraordinary turntablism skills that got him noticed in the first place with his famous ear for a catchy pop melody. Support comes from DJ Doobious and Mad Katz DJs.
