Going since 2006, this electronic music festival has absolutely nothing to do with chocolate and everything to do with relaxed musical sophistication. Different to its louder, brasher counterparts, it welcomes an intimate crowd of around 3,500 to celebrate emerging acts – you'll need to be a real music buff to have heard of most of the names on the line-up.

Friday June 1 and Saturday June 2.

Having hosted parties everywhere from Miami to Montreal and Dubai to Detroit, the All Day I Dream label brings its brand of daytime dancing to Switzerland for the first time. Zurich's MFO-Park welcomes a line-up that includes ADID founder Lee Burridge, US DJ Bedouin and house master Yokoo. There'll also be the opportunity to explore works by Brooklyn-based artist Noemi Manser and sample delights from an array of international food trucks.

Our favourite lake-side day party in Switzerland. Taking place on the terraces of the Lake Side restaurant, 3km from the city centre, Sanapa am See is divided into electronic and hip hop sections. Entry is free, but get there early to avoid the queues that can build up.

Saturday June 16.

With the horses safely off the grounds, the Horse Park Zurich-Dielsdorf hosts this upbeat affair with deep house DJ Solomun headlining. And with a second stage being added this year, they'll be even more room for other acts to join him. Street food eating and sun-soaking optional; dancing essential.

Saturday June 30.
