A family opera based on the famous children's story.
Created to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the publication of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s famous story, this opera by Michaël Levinas retells the tale of a luminous and enigmatic blond boy from a far away asteroid who visits Earth and meets an airman who has crashed in the Sahara. A mythic, moral tale, it’s become a classic for children all over the world. After its world premiere in Lausanne in December, it’s the turn of the Grand Théâtre de Genève to host this new opera, which makes for a great treat for all the family, with modest ticket prices to boot.

The only event I have walked out early, absolutely tuneless drivel. I feel sorry for the hundreds of kids there if this was their first taste of opera as they will be put off for life.
just returned from this with my children, had planned it as a Christmas treat. Absolutely excruciating and intolerable and we were among the scores who left early. sorry for you if you have tickets
