By now you’ve probably heard about Gin and Mix, the rather marvellous party we’re throwing on Thursday (yes, this very Thursday) at Widder Garage. It’s a double-celebration marking both the launch of Time Out Switzerland issue four and Time Out’s 50th anniversary, and it’s going to be all kinds of fun.
As if there weren’t already enough reasons to attend, we can now reveal the final unmissable happening to be taking place at the party: a pop-up molecular mixology cocktail experience, in association with mixology masters and kitchen demons The Alchemist. With bars in ten cities around the UK, The Alchemist are – it’s fair to say – experts at crafting innovative cocktail experiences. We’re talking oh-so-much more than just serving up a few drinks here; this is mixology at its finest, most memorable and occasionally even jaw-dropping (Oh, and they also rustle up a mean brunch – or lunch or dinner, depending on what time you drop by).
What this all means is that you need to get ready to have your taste buds tingled like never before, as you sip your way through some inspired and truly unique creations.
How unique are we talking? Well, how about the Bubblebath, containing a sparkling combo that includes gin and washing-up liquid. Yes, you read that correctly and trust us, it’s way more appealing than you think. Then there’s the Dead Red Zombie, with two kinds of rum, The Alchemist’s ‘zombie mix’ and smoke.

The cocktails will be mixed by one of The Alchemist’s star mixologists, Ell Oxley, so you’ll be in very safe hands. Trust us – your senses are in for a treat.
