Celebration is in the air in a big way at the moment. Not only is the new autumn issue of Time Out Switzerland out and about on the streets, but it’s also Time Out’s 50th birthday this year. To mark these two fine occasions we’re doing the sensible thing and hosting a huge party on Thursday October 25. And we’re going-in well-prepared.
There’ll be party-primed tunes from artists including renowned UK photographer, broadcaster and DJ Normski Anderson, who knows a thing or two about lighting-up a dancefloor.
Live sounds arrive courtesy of acclaimed Argentinian saxophonist Florencio Cruz, whose soulful sounds should put everyone in the very best of moods.
You’ll also be able to take in an art exhibition showcasing some of the best Time Out covers from the past 50 years, plus you’ll find pop-ups and a lot of delicious gin concoctions to sip throughout the night.
It all takes place in one of Zurich’s top nightspots, Widder Garage. Launched by the team behind the super-hip Widder Hotel, this pop-up venue is stuffed full of vinyl and has a serious buzz around it thanks to a mix of sleek, contemporary cool and shabby chic vibes – plus its masterful cocktails, which is where all that gin will come in pretty handy. Basically, these guys know how to throw a party.

Speaking of drinks, the first 150 guests through the doors can enjoy a special gin cocktail courtesy of Hendrick’s Gin, so maybe don’t worry about trying to arrive ‘fashionably late’ to this one, as you’ll also be missing out on valuable partying time. Oh, and did we mention that it’s free entry? Because it is, giving you yet another reason to attend. See you there!
