Television chef Meta Hiltebrand took over this famous venue in 2013, which was formerly hosted by the by no means less famous late Fred Tschanz. The walls are purple and decorated with photographs of moustachioed people (with Hiltebrand herself amongst them). Many of the dishes come with a dollop of Hiltebrand’s signature purple too, and though all of this looks a little too staged, the food is absolutely delicious.
