Zum Kuss

This self-proclaimed cafe and culture bar offers lunches, coffees, evening cocktails and Sunday brunches. Zum Kuss has a lovely location on the corner of the Elisabethen Park in the Vorstadt area of Basel, making it a nice destination for a weekend stroll. Light, bright interiors allow you to enjoy being in the park even when indoors thanks to large circular windows onto the surrounding greenery. The menus are short but inventive, with salads, marinated salmon and creative vegetarian dishes featuring prominently among the selection. A nice place for lingering over the papers, although be aware the brunch service can be slow, and this is a popular locale so you may be packed into a table with other diners.
