Zurich’s biggest food festival returns for its fourth edition with a programme featuring dashing chefs and gourmet nights.
‘Il Tavolo – Zurich at table’ returns with its fourth food extravaganza this June. The five-day event hosted by hotels Baur au Lac, Park Hyatt Zurich, Storchen Zurich, The Dolder Grand and Widder Hotel once again promises a packed programme of kitchen parties, gourmet nights and family brunches. Not to be missed is the ‘Il Mercato’ lunch in Zurich’s Engros market hall, which is usually closed to the public. A 200-metre long banquet table will be laid with tasters of 30 different haute cuisine dishes – all prepared before your eyes at ten cooking stations. Other highlights include the opening night’s kitchen party at Gate Gourmet, Switzerland’s largest kitchen, and the ‘dashing chef’ event, which sees top chefs race between the host hotels whipping up menus and entertaining their guests.
