From French gastronomy to local Swiss cooking traditions, the meals at L’Echalotte are all prepared with top quality products. Though the decor might seem a bit faded from the outside, the food is never a disappointment. Philippe, the restaurant owner, even kept the misspelled sign as a reminder of his beginnings in the business. From duck to baked salmon or goat cheese salad, this place is a hotspot for the locals who hoard in at both lunch and dinner. Located right next to the Cimetière des rois, a historical cemetery full of nobles’ tombstones, “The Shallot”, founded in the 1970s, has kept its regional authenticity.
