Time Out says

5 out of 5 stars

A fun combination of a kitsch and cosy interior matched with an authentic classic Italian menu and lively pavement terrace in the summer .

This relaxed, welcoming restaurant is a long standing favourite with locals thanks to its characteristic kitsch and cosy interior and a truly authentic classic Italian menu. Set in the hip and happening Zurich West district, Cinque remains a firm favourite in a sea of contemporary restaurants. Its charming fun interior filled with quirky antiques, romantic lighting and walls covered in vintage black and white photos make it one of the area's most popular must-do venues for great food, good service and a fun atmosphere. Its generous and romantic pavement terrace is a popular summer evening hot spot too.

The food is served up with respect for tradition with the emphasis on home made pasta and simple, classic dishes served in generous portions - pappardelle with wild boar Bolognese sauce, spaghetti with clams, garlic and parsley, veal chop seared with sage butter and sea bass baked in salt with grilled vegetables are popular house classics. Lunchtime finds Toscano calm and the cooking relaxed and assured with a speedy business menu lunch option that changes weekly too.
