A regular Aladdin’s Cave of delights, Yamatuti embraces the classier side of kitsch with its offerings of greeting cards, homewares, kitchen accessories and other items that fall definitely into the category of “want” rather than “need”. It’s true that much of the selection is of the chintzy, faux-vintage variety that has taken interiors by storm over the last few years, although the stock does include colourful ethnic accessories as well. However, as a place to hunt for gifts or something to brighten up your day, it does a great job – the selection of children’s toys and baby gifts makes it worth adding to your address book as a destination for original and thoughtful presents.
