This inherently Swiss summer folk music festival is rooted in tradition. Every July, Alphorn players from across the world descend on Nendaz in Canton Valais to celebrate the hauntingly beautiful Alpine instrument. On the programme is an Alphorn blowing competition, a trachten parade featuring folk costumes, folklore events, village balls and a concert performed by a band with over 150 Alphorn players.
