Time Out says

Einsiedeln Christmas Market boasts a seriously festive setting.

If, come December, you are still lacking festive spirit, head for Einsiedeln Christmas Market. As far as settings go, this one couldn’t be much more festive – think little wooden huts lined up beneath the illuminated abbey, and, if you’re lucky, snow underfoot. More than 130 stalls line the main street, selling handcrafts, mulled wine and locally made gingerbread. Don’t miss the world’s (allegedly) largest Christmas crib in the Diorama Bethlehem – the background is an awe-inspiring 30 metres long, while the scene features 450 figures.
