Time Out says

Geneva lays on a three-day bash over the summer solstice.

This music festival organised by the city of Geneva aims to bring its residents out on the streets for a jolly good party for three days over the summer solstice, making the most of the long evenings.

This 24th edition promises some 500 concerts covering all manner of musical genres, including rock, pop, classical, jazz, techno, hip-hop and more, plus dance, installations, workshops and open-air cinema. Watch out for a silent disco in the Place de Neuve, open-air opera in Bastions park and a day-long piano marathon.

All events are free and many are outdoors, with 30 stages spread over the Old Town, both banks of the lake and various parks, plus some indoor concerts at Victoria Hall and the cathedral. It’s hugely popular and really takes over the city, so don’t expect to go about your daily business without stumbling across the crowds.

The full programme is released on 2nd June.
