Katzensee

In winter when the temperature drops, the Katzensee lake on the outskirts of Zurich becomes a natural ice rink. The reserve around the Katzensee is an all year round hotspot for bird- and nature-watching. Take the family on a walk around the lake - it won't take much more than an hour. During the warmer months, bring your swimsuits and have a dip. There is a designated area for barbecues. For those who prefer a Sunday afternoon on wheels, the circular route around the lake has a separate track for cyclists.
