Sechseläutenplatz

Sechseläutenplatz is located between Bellevue and the Zurich Opera House. This pretty, open square hosts the city's spring festival "Sechseläuten" where a giant snowman called the Böögg is set on fire to welcome the new season. In winter, there's a Christmas market and various other events and happenings pitch up here throughout the year, including the Zurich Film Festival HQ. On a fine day, the plaza has ample seating, trees and water features so makes a nice spot to pause for a snack and/or a bit of people watching.
