Time Out says

Zermatt’s Swiss Food Festival celebrates local products, traditions and sustainability.

With 254 Gault Millau points, Zermatt has a higher concentration of top restaurants than anywhere else in the Alps. So it is fitting that the resort at the foot of the Matterhorn chose to stage the Swiss Food Festival. Now in its 7th edition, this celebration of Swiss products and producers turns Zermatt’s Bahnhofstrasse into a gourmet market lined with chalets selling and providing information about regional products. Don’t miss the Hérens beef, which is prepared on the church square. The three-day programme will kick off on August 11 with behind-the-scenes "Kitchen Parties" at the Mont Cervin Palace and Grand Hotel Zermatterhof and conclude on the Sunday with a special breakfast on the Matterhorn Express. Don't miss the 'Gondola Fondue' with Matterhorn view. Selected events require advance registration; buy tickets online.
