September is Zurich Eats (Zurich Isst) month in Switzerland's biggest city. With a focus on sustainable nutrition, there's more than 200 events to attend, including tastings, tours, pop-up restaurants, film screenings, kids events and more.
Zurich Eats follows on from the success of the Zurich Reads and Zurich Dances months. And, with the city's increasing foodie culture, it feels like the perfect time to celebrate all things culinary in Zurich.
Cool events include the pop-up Soi Thai; Street Food Festival; Zurich Tischt Auf (Zurich Serves Up) on Sep 26 at Helvetiaplatz, which will be offering free meals made from "surplus" food; the Z4i Slow Food tram ride across Zurich (Sep 12-13); and a free panel discussion in German on the hidden impact of food imports - Essen wir den Regenwald? - on Sep 21.
