Time Out says

Many Australians have fond memories of dressing up for Book Week. But for this high school English teacher, it’s the week from hell

When it looks like his novel is going to be published, cantankerous high school English teacher and once famous novelist Nicholas Cutler thinks his luck has finally changed. But what promises to be the best week of his life professionally spirals into seven days of hell personally. There's his pregnant girlfriend, a student in trouble with the law, a gravely ill brother-in-law and the prospect of losing his lifelong dream. It will all eventually force Cutler to re-examine what exactly is most important in his life.

Book Week premiered to sold-out screenings at the Melbourne International Film Festival, and will be released nationally on October 25, 2018. It stars Alan Dukes (Last Cab to Darwin), Rhys Muldoon (House Husbands), Airlie Dodds (Killing Ground), Rose Riley (The Death and Life of Otto Bloom) and Susan Prior (The Rover).
