The year begins, bringing with it magic and excitement for new challenges. What better way to harness the momentum of new beginnings than with a day where the impossible becomes possible? On January 31, Time Out Market hosts a full-day event that starts with magic workshops for children and adults and continues with a Magic Tasting, where the Market’s grand gastronomic experience is enhanced with close-up magic performances by top professional magicians.
Magic workshops for all ages
In the morning, the wand is in your hands. From 11 am to 12 pm, it’s the youngest members of the family’s turn, with workshops aimed at children aged 8 and up, which the rest of the family can also attend. From 12 pm to 1 pm, adults take over with workshops tailored for those who also want to learn how to perform magic tricks.
All sessions are led by magician David València, a leading figure in Barcelona’s magic scene, renowned both for his artistic career and for his ability to share knowledge and passion for the art of illusion.
Magic Tasting
From 7 pm to 9 pm, you become both spectators and diners. The Magic Tasting combines the Market’s rich culinary offerings with live close-up magic. Throughout the evening, you’ll be amazed by roaming performances from three well-known professional magicians — Álvaro Oreja, Mag Jan, and Óscar Sánchez — who will infuse the entire dinner with magic.
Tickets
For the magic workshops, both children’s and adult sessions are priced at €12 and include access to the activity, all necessary materials to follow the workshop, and one drink of choice (water, soft drink, juice, or beer). Workshops are limited to a maximum of 15 people per session, so be sure to get your tickets here!
For the Magic Tasting, you can attend with a free ticket that grants access to the performances, or choose a €6 ticket that includes a pack with one drink of choice (water, beer, or soft drink) and a snack. Reservations are required here!
