Nieves is the new cocktail you can only taste at Time Out Market this month. The name evokes the festive season we’re in, but it’s also a heartfelt tribute from the Market’s bartender, Cristian Bell, to his mother.
The drink is a puzzle of Templeton Rye with spiced and citrus notes that make it surprisingly comforting. Infused tea and a touch of Christmas syrup (made with cinnamon) bring warm aromas, while lemon and orange lift its energy. It’s served in an old fashioned glass, topped with a thin layer of foam and garnished with orange peel and a cinnamon stick. A small refuge in your hands, ready to be enjoyed at spots like the Wine bar or Bar El Xaloc inside the Market, where Christmas has also arrived with lights and festive decorations.
Every month, the Market’s bartenders hold an internal competition: each one presents a cocktail inspired by the season, and the whole team votes for the best. Stay tuned for the next creations!
