Devotees of all things Bowie, this one’s for you. The David Bowie World Fan Convention is returning to the UK in 2024, with Liverpool hosting a celebration of all things related to Ziggy Stardust, Thin Wide Duke, Aladdin Sane and more. 2024’s theme will be ‘The Year of the Diamond Dogs’.
BowieCon is the ultimate celebration of one of the UK’s most celebrated musicians. Programmed to appear at next year’s event are plenty of creatives who worked with Bowie personally, from author of Strange Fascination David Buckley and official tour photographer Denis O’Regan to Ava Cherry, former backing singer and member of Bowie’s inner circle.
Film screenings, exhibitions and meet-and-greets are also on the agenda, as well as a glamourous Bowie Ball. A Bowie swap shop will offer enthusiasts the chance to upgrade their memorabilia collections. And of course, there’ll be plenty of live music. Time to put on your red shoes and dance the blues!
This year’s convention in New York was an enormous success and saw legendary Bowie guitarist Carlos Alomar sharing anecdotes about his time with the big man.
