Summer’s almost over, which means that it’s basically now autumn. And that means it's basically October, which is basically Christmas, right? Right.

In other words, it’s never too early to start thinking about the festive season and Cadbury has just announced news that will make this year’s Crimbo even more delicious.

No Xmas stocking should be complete without a satsuma, some socks and a bag of chocolate coins. But in 2014, many complained that Christmas had been ‘ruined’ after Cadbury discontinued its chocolate coins. Sure, you can buy choccy coins from other places, but nowhere does them quite like Cadbury.

This year, though, Cadbury’s chocolate coins are are back! The coins are made from the brand's classic Dairy Milk recipe and they’ll be available in supermarkets nationwide from September. You can buy them as a 70-gram net for £1.99 or in a 230-gram gift tin for £6.99, though prices might differ between retailers.

Katie Hill, junior brand manager for Cadbury, said: 'If you cast your mind back to 2014, you may remember that Cadbury caused disappointment across the nation, as we announced the sad discontinuation of our much-loved Chocolate Coins.

'We’ve listened to customer feedback and we’re thrilled to be able to finally announce we’ll be bringing back this beloved holiday treasure this year – a product which represents festive joy and delicious nostalgia for so many.'
