We all know the quote... find a job you love and you won’t work a day in your life. Well, whoever the person was that came up with that quote, we reckon we’ve found the job they were talking about.

Get this: Legoland is hiring not one but two new ‘assistant master model builders’. And what does that mean? Well, in short, you get to play with bricks all day and get paid £21,000 a year to do so. And while £21k might not seem like a heck of a lot of cash, it’s certainly not too shabby for a 9-5 that’s mainly brick play.

According to the job spec, successful applicants will be based in the Legoland Discovery Centre in Birmingham. The job description lays out how you’ll be tasked with helping to build new Lego displays, teach guests to create imaginative builds and facilitate building workshops.

Sounds like everything really is awesome. And that isn’t even getting into the perks. As an employee of Legoland, all attractions worldwide are free for you, your fam and friends every year via the Merlin Magic Pass. Plus, you’ll enjoy a 25 percent discount in all retail outlets and restaurants, 40 percent off Lego products online and discounted cinema tickets.

Amy Langham, general manager of the Legoland Discovery Centre, said: ‘This is the ultimate job for anyone who loves to play and get creative – especially with Lego – as where else can you be paid to release your inner child, play with Lego all day and create amazing structures?!’

‘The right candidate will have good attention to detail and creativity to bring our next mini creations to life, they will also be passionate about teaching the builders of the future by advising guests at the centre and running imaginative workshops.’

To apply for the opportunity, you have to answer a few questions which include your interests and experience with building Lego models, as well as your favourite build.
