Positively enjoy a sense of danger and peril? Actually like feeling like you’re basically about to dieWell, we’ve got some exciting news: Europe’s largest swing ride, the appropriately named ‘giant swing’, is set to open in Kent today.

The 45-metre-drop swing is the latest attraction at Hangloose Adventure Bluewater, right next to the Bluewater cliffs. The swing joins Skywire, England’s longest zip wire, at the 50-acre adventure park, which opened in June 2021.

Hangloose Adventure Bluewater is also home to an ‘inverse zip wire’, suspended 100 metres above the ground, where daredevils can fly backwards over the lakes and cliffs at 60mph for 45 seconds. Depending on where you stand, that either sounds amazing, or totally fucking horrible.

But if you’re more the former than the latter? You can find out more about the ‘giant swing’ and Hangloose Adventure Bluewater here. Sounds like your next staycation just got a whole lot scarier.

ICYMI: this spectacular technicolour artwork has just popped up on Hadrian’s Wall.

Plus: two epic new walking routes have opened on the Essex coast.
