It’s been almost 20 years since the final Harry Potter book was released, and people still can’t get enough of Hogwarts, Hagrid and that elf that carries a sock.
If you’re a self-proclaimed Potterhead, listen up. This summer the trolley from Platform 9 3/4 is going on tour. How does a trolley that’s rammed into a wall go on tour, you might be wondering? Well, it’s not actually the trolley (that one will remain in situ at King’s Cross Station), but a replica.
Fans of The Boy Who Lived will get the chance to have their very own photo op without having to travel to London, as it will be making its way to cinemas around the UK this August with stops in Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff. The trolley is making its grand tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The film is also being screened in select cinemas around the world along with 12 minutes of never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage.
On all dates the trolley will be available for photographs from 10am to 10pm on a first-come-first-served basis, and it’s completely free. There are expected to be queues, so hop on your Nimbus 2000 and get down there early doors.
