Hooray! Summer weather could (finally) be on the way to the UK

After a weekend of gale-force winds and heavy rain, the rest of July should feel a bit more summery

Britons, it’s time to hang up your raincoat, dust off your sunnies and get excited. It might soon start feeling like summer again. The Met Office has forecasted that the past weekend’s wind and rain will give way to sunshine for most of the week. That’s right: actual sunshine! In the UK!

While, sure, it’s not quite going to be sunbathing weather over the next week or so, it’ll certainly be warmer and drier. Across the country, we can apparently expect less rain (but, notably, not no rain – there’ll still be showers). The driest, warmest days are expected to be tomorrow (July 25) and Friday.

Better yet, looking forward we should see more consistent summery conditions across the UK as we enter August. Summer ain’t over just yet! Check out the most recent forecasts on the Met Office here.
