So, apparently it’s been nearly 20 years since Green Day’s iconic album ‘American Idiot’ and 30 years since they released their equally-legendary second album ‘Dookie’. Feel old yet?
And there’s only one way to celebrate not one but two such major anniversaries for the band, as well as the upcoming release of their 14th studio album, ‘Saviors’. They’re going on one big fat world tour!
The punk-rock trio has announced that they will be heading out on a massive stadium tour in 2024, titled ‘The Saviors Tour’. In a joint statement, members Billie Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool and Mike Dirnt said: ‘We’ve never been more excited to unleash new music than with Saviors, a record that’s meant to be rocked live, together. So let’s thrash. We’ve got some amazing friends who are coming along for the ride!’
It’s a lot of big news for Green Day fans to digest, so let us break it all down for ya. Presale goes on sale tomorrow (November 8) and general sale later in the week: here is everything you need to know.
