A brand-new gangster drama lands on BBC this week, with a soundtrack as fresh as its title suggests.
Mint tells the story of two star-crossed lovers from rival Scottish crime gangs, with devastating implications on both sides of the feud.
A host of trendy international artists feature on the soundtrack, from Brat superstar Charli xcx to Canadian rising talent Saya Gray.
‘The music should feel like a 16-year-old girl today could hear it and relate to Shannon as a character,’ says producer Theo Barrowclough. ‘The music is intended to feel very modern and quite young.’
Working with co-producer Charlotte Regan and music supervisor Sadie Matthew, the trio constructed playlists to reflect the intense drama that unfolds throughout Mint.

All eight episodes of Mint are available to stream now on BBC iPlayer.
For traditional TV fans, episodes will air on BBC One from Monday, April 20, with two 30-minute episodes from 9pm.
The final two episodes of the series are set to air on Monday, May 11.
