A new Soho House will soon open in one of the UK’s poshest places

Soho House is well known for its connections to the upper echelons of society – Harry and Meghan famously had their first date at the Dean Street house, and Meghan was reportedly spotted at the Cotswolds farmhouse just earlier this week. 

Now the private members’ club appears to be really looking to solidify its stead among the landed gentry, as it’s announced a new location in perhaps Britain’s poshest place of all: Windsor. 

Soho House Group has plans to open Soho River House in Berkshire in 2027. The members’ club has run a pop-up out of the luxury Oakley Court hotel for the past four summers, which it now plans to make a permanent House. It’s going to relaunch the hotel as a ‘classic country club’.

The site – a Victorian mansion set within 35 acres of land – is just a 10-minute drive from the King’s digs. The riverside venue will have 93 bedrooms, club space, a Soho Health Club with ‘advanced wellness technologies’ including outdoor onsen and cold plunges and the group’s first Soho House Racquet & Rowing Club with the offer of tennis, padel and pickleball courts, boat storage and direct river access.

Soho River House will also have multiple restaurants including a grill and open-fire concept, as well as food trucks and a vinyl bar for late-night drinks.

The exact opening date for the house has not been announced yet, but membership applications will open next year.
