Sure, it feels a lot like summer right now, but soon it’ll be autumn – and that means one thing... Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes! And soon there’ll be more opportunities for PSL-sipping in the UK than ever before, as ‘Bucks is planning to open loads more branches throughout the country.

Following massive demand from coffee-loving Britons, the coffee giant has announced it is on track to open a whopping 100 new UK stores in 2023 (a target it shared back in March). In fact, today (September 7) marks one of its most significant openings yet, with a drive-thru outlet in Oldham, Manchester, being the chain’s 20,000th store outside of North America.

Starbucks is apparently doing very well, amid limits on consumer spending due to the cost-of-living crisis. In a statement marking 25 years since its first UK outlet in London in 1998, Starbucks said it had ‘maintained strong, double-digit sales growth’ and has set goals to reach 55,000 stores globally by 2030.

So, keep a lookout – a brand-new Starbucks might well pop-up near you!
