At the start of 2025, Moor Hall in Lancashire became the UK’s newest three Michelin-star restaurant. Then, earlier this month, it was declared the best restaurant in the country by coveted restaurant guide Harden’s. Set in a Grade II-listed thirteenth century manor and surrounded by five acres of gorgeous gardens, a meal here is already going to be ridiculously special. But for those who want even more luxury, the restaurant has launched a new private dining experience.

Moor Hall has partnered with The Macallan Whisky to create a private dining experience available to book from this month. Together they’ll offer diners access to rare releases from the Macallan Red Collection, a collection of single malts aged between 40 and 78 years. There’ll also be tastings hosted by Macallan Brand Ambassadors available on request.

The private dining room, named Atelier Hearth, has been revamped in collaboration with local craftspeople. It’s got the original beams, windows and heart of Moor Hall with a large circular oak table in the centre that fits up to 12 guests.

On its website, the restaurant says: ‘Moor Hall is proud to partner with The Macallan, to create extraordinary experiences for discerning guests. The Macallan’s story is one of craftsmanship shaped by the natural beauty of Speyside, the richness of exceptional oak casks, and the skill of whisky makers devoted to their art.’

If you’re yet to make NYE plans, Atelier Hearth is putting on an exclusive celebration featuring a one-off tasting menu, champagne at midnight, a firework display across the estate, and by live music at Moor Hall’s sister restaurant The Barn. There’ll be a curated whisky selection, a Pommeau Highball made with The Macallan 12 Year Double Cask and crystal glassware to take home for anyone who books the the New Year’s Eve x The Macallan package. A very swanky way to kick off 2026. It starts from £450 per person and can be booked here.

Moor Hall promises that promises that its partnership with Macallan will continue throughout the year with a series of immersive dinners and events ‘celebrating the meeting of whisky and gastronomy’.
