How do you like to get your adrenaline pumping? Plummeting to the ground on drop tower, perhaps? Being spun upside down on a loop-the-loop? Being flung around on gyro-swing? Or maybe, you prefer zooming at high speeds down a giant slide? If it’s the latter, we’ve got news that’ll be right up your alley.

Later this month, the UK’s longest outdoor tubing slide will launch at Zip World in Heaton Park, Manchester

Zip World’s brand new Forest Tubing experience is made up of two slides, one 77m in length, the other 88m (equivalent to around nine double-deckers parked in a line). They both begin 10 metres above ground and weave down through the trees of Heaton Park, which is one of the largest municipal parks in Europe.

Punters will be able whizz down the slides inside a doughnut ring on their own or in a pair and will come across a series of bends and small bumps that’ll give the doughnut a little lift into the air.

The new ride will be ready in time for May half term and will be suitable for kids as young as four-years-old, as long as they’re at least one metre tall.

The CEO of Zip World, Andrew Hudson, said: ‘Forest Tubing is a fun high‑energy experience that the whole family can enjoy. We’re proud to bring the UK’s longest tubing experience to Manchester and give people even more reasons to get outside and spend quality time together.’

An hour session of unlimited rides on the slides starts costs between £17 and £20 per person, depending on when you book – the earlier you buy a ticket the cheaper it’ll be. The experience officially opens on May 22 and is available to book on ZipWorld’s site now
