Festivals are hardly the kinda place you want to be glued to your phone, but with a site the size and scale of Glastonbury’s, having access to the map, line-up and loads more all from your device will come in pretty damn handy.

And excitingly, the official Vodafone-powered Glastonbury 2025 mobile app (which is free, and available to download from iOS and Android) has a handful of new features.

The first of these is a function to share your live location with your friends, which will (finger’s crossed) make it a whole load easier to find each other if you got separated in the bar queue, copped a particularly good spot in the crowd or are camped miles apart.

The ‘my pin’ button in the top-left corner shows any spots on the site you might have saved, and the group icon in the lower-right corner will show you where your friends are at.

Saving your line-up has been possible on the app in previous years, but this is now also something that can be shared with your friends, so it will be easier to decipher who’s going to Neil Young, Charli xcx and Doechii (or any other major clashes on the schedule).

And finally, a step-counting feature has been added to the ‘my highlights’ post-Festival wrap section, so you can see who in your group trod the furthest (or boogied the hardest), alongside all the artists you saw and the stages you visited.

In fact, to mark all these new app tools, Vodafone has announced that it will match the average daily step count from Glastonbury 2025 with a donation to the everyone.connected campaign, a programme which ‘seeks to help people and businesses across the digital divide’.

All that comes along with returning features such as the option to get personal recommendations based on your Spotify algorithm, pinning important locations across the site, and receiving the latest announcements from the festival directly.

‘We know the app plays a big role in the festival experience so, this year, we have gone even further to ensure that fans can connect with their friends or family and get as much out of Glastonbury as possible,’ said Maria Koutsoudakis, chief brand officer of Vodafone UK.
