Brighton Pride is one of the UK’s most popular Pride festivals. This year it’ll be back from Saturday, August 5 to Sunday, August 6 and there’s already a ton of hype around the joyous, glitter-filled fest, with the likes of Steps, Mel C and the Black Eyed Peas all set to perform.
But Will.i.am has fuelled further hype after he spoke to Metro and teased a surprise appearance at the Black Eyes Peas set on the Saturday. ‘Yes, we do love bringing on special guests,’ he said. ‘But if we told you then it wouldn’t be a surprise, would it?’.
Of course, that has sent fans into a spiral of speculation. And the name on everyone’s lips right now? Britney Spears. The ‘Toxic’ singer has recently released a new song titled ‘Mind Your Business’ with Will.i.am and the two sang the 2013 hit ‘Scream and Shout’ together, so the rumours make a lot of sense.
We should be careful not to get our hopes up too much, though. There was a lot of excitement among fans when many predicted Britney would join Elton John at his Glasto performance. But alas, the singer did not appear.
Other names floating around the rumour mill include Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and Anne-Marie, who has worked with Will.i.am as a judge on The Voice. Only time will tell!
