This is officially the best place to go camping in the UK

It’s in the middle of a 600-acre wood and offers an array of glamping options

With everything going on in the UK at the minute, sometimes you just want to pack up and go live in the woods. But there would probably be quite a lot of admin involved in that, so you’re probably better off just going camping. 

And so we bring some helpful and exciting news. The 2022 Camping and Glamping Awards have just revealed the best campsite in the whole of the UK this year, and the winner? Beech Estate Campsite, near Battle in East Sussex

The campsite is in the middle of a huge 600-acre wood, and you can choose from standard camping and glamping. You can hire bikes for the day, visit the campsite’s own brewery or check out the nearby winery and trampoline park. The awards described the campsite as ‘completely off-grid’ and ‘surrounded by wildlife’. 

In second place was Barn Farm Campsite in Derbyshire, and third was The Hideaway at Baxby Manor in North Yorkshire. You can read more about this year’s winners here
