The eight-metre tall inflatable playground will pop-up in Essex for six weeks

PSA for all the big kids out there! There’s a humungous blow-up castle coming to the UK in the summer that you won’t want to miss.
First launched in Dubai, Mega Bounce is one of the world’s largest bouncy castles. It’s making its UK debut this summer and will pop-up at Braintree Village in Essex for six weeks from July. The inflatable castle spans 2,500 square metres (the size of two football pitches) and stands just over eight metres tall. Inside, you’ll find giant blow-up characters, multi‑storey slides, obstacle zones, sports challenges and dedicated bounce arenas.
Once the castle is open, each day will comprise of three different sessions. The first from 10am to 11am will be quiet sessions without music for those who want a calmer experience (capped at 100 people). The second session will be for all ages with party music, lighting effects, videoclips on the giant screen, festival-style refreshments and entertainment zones. That will last from 11am to 7pm.
Then between 7pm and 9pm each day, Mega Bounce will hold adults-only sessions with DJs and a fully stocked bar. On select Saturday nights, it’ll up the ante with an adults only foam parties. All bounced out? No problem. The pop-up will also feature giant Jenga and Connect 4, a chalk graffiti board and ping-pong.
He’s a little biased, of course, but Josef O’Sullivan, centre director at Braintree Village said that the castle will be ‘one of the best attractions available in the country over the summer holidays’.
Mega Bounce will be at Braintree Village from July 18 to August 31, open 10am to 9pm everyday. General admission for a 60-minute session is £18 per person or £15 each for groups of more than six. You can pick up tickets here.
ICYMI: The epic new £500 million resort that will be the ‘biggest paid-for attraction in the UK’.
Plus: A brand-new historical theme park is opening in the UK this summer.
