Lately, the internet has been obsessed with rejecting societal expectations and giving in to our lazy and most feral selves. But have you truly reached peak ‘goblin mode’ until you retreat into your very own underground, medieval-style cave?

Well, now’s your chance. A two-bedroom cottage with a vast cave has just come onto the market with an asking price of £295,000. And the cave isn’t actually as dark and dingy as you might expect. In fact, it’s actually quite impressive.

Dracup Cottage in Bridgnorth, Shropshire was once home to eccentric artist Antony Dracup. The late ‘visionary’ extended a small cave in the back garden and carved into the property’s sandstone cellars to create a medieval-themed banqueting hall complete with arches and pillars.

The home is described as ‘a museum in homage to its former owner’ and is currently being used as a holiday let. A spokesperson from Berriman Eaton, the agents selling the property, said that the house offers a ‘unique living experience’ that ‘feels like stepping back in time’. Here are a few pics of the place.
