Have you ever wondered how the other half live? The other half being a media and entertainment tycoon with a net worth of £3.2 billion? Well, now you don’t have to speculate about how the likes of Sir Richard Branson live – as you can sleep in his actual flat.

The business magnate has decided make his Virgin Hotels apartment in Edinburgh (i.e. the place he stays whenever he’s in the Scottish capital) available to the public, meaning anyone can book a stay there.

The 73-square-metre flat sleeps three, and has an in-room bar, free-standing roll-top bath, hardwood floors and a double vanity unit. But all that luxury doesn’t come cheap. You’d need to fork out £780 per night (and that’s without breakfast).

A breakfast option can be added but that will take your grand total to £820 per night, including taxes and other fees.

But there are some cheaper prices on selected dates in November and December. These come to £716 without breakfast.

Virgin Hotels also lists a refrigerator, sitting area and free Wi-Fi as amenities. You can book via the Virgin Hotels website.

ICYMI: this is officially the best cheese in the UK.

Plus: you can bag cheap tickets to Paris and Amsterdam in the Eurostar flash sale.
